Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Spreadsheet Pros LLC, d/b/a Excel Experts and Spreadsheet Pros(“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Excel Experts Certify website and practice-exam service (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account information— your name and email address, and authentication data used to sign you in.
• Purchase information— records of the exams you buy and your access period. Payments are processed by our payment processor (Stripe); we receive confirmation and limited billing details but do not store full payment card numbers.
• Exam and usage data— your attempts, submitted workbooks, scores, and feedback reports, and basic usage and device information.
• Download logs— when you download an exam workbook, instructions document, or feedback report, we record your account, the item, a unique serial number, a timestamp, and the originating IP address (see Section 3).
• Cookies— we use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and operate the Service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

2. How we use information

• to provide the Service, deliver purchased materials, and grade your work;
• to operate your account, process payments, and provide support;
• to protect our intellectual property and detect or prevent unauthorized sharing, fraud, or abuse;
• to secure, maintain, and improve the Service; and
• to comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

3. Exam watermarking and download logging

To protect our materials, each copy you download is personalized to you: it is stamped with your name and email address and embeds a unique forensic serial number, and we log the download details described in Section 1. We use this information solely to identify the source of any unauthorized copy, to maintain an audit trail, and to enforce our Terms. The information stamped onto your documents is your own contact information; we do not add it to marketing lists.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality obligations—for example, our payment processor (Stripe) and our cloud hosting provider (Microsoft Azure)—and where required to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect our rights, users, or the public.

5. Data retention

We retain account, purchase, exam, and download-log information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and protect our intellectual property. Download logs are retained under the same policy as other account records. When no longer needed, information is deleted or de-identified.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and rights

You may access or update your account information from your account settings, and you may request deletion of your account by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information (such as access, correction, deletion, or portability); we will honor applicable rights on verified request. Note that we may retain certain records—including download logs—where necessary to protect our intellectual property or comply with law.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted with an updated date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
