Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Spreadsheet Pros LLC, d/b/a Excel Experts and Spreadsheet Pros(“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Excel Experts Certify website and practice-exam service (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account information— your name and email address, and authentication data used to sign you in.
• Purchase information— records of the exams you buy and your access period. Payments are processed by our payment processor (Stripe); we receive confirmation and limited billing details but do not store full payment card numbers. The billing details we receive and store are your name and billing address, which are stamped onto the exam files you download (see Section 3). We do not ask for or store a phone number.
• Exam and usage data— your attempts, submitted workbooks, scores, and feedback reports, and basic usage and device information.
• Ratings and comments you give us— if you rate an exam on its results page, we store the rating, any reasons you tick, and any comment you write, linked to your account and that attempt so we can follow up with you. They are seen only by our team, never sent to analytics or advertising providers, and comments are removed if you delete your account.
• Download logs— when you download an exam workbook, instructions document, or feedback report, we record your account, the item, a unique serial number, a timestamp, and the originating IP address (see Section 3).
• Cookies, analytics and advertising— we use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and operate the Service. We also use Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies to measure how the site is used (pages viewed, general location, device type) so we can improve it. Because this site shares a domain with dfwexcel.com, that measurement spans both. We additionally use Microsoft Advertising’s Universal Event Tracking, which sets advertising cookies and reports to Microsoft when a visit results in a purchase, so that we can measure which advertisements are worth running. That report includes the amount and currency of the order — never your name, email address or exam results. We do not sell your information.

2. How we use information

• to provide the Service, deliver purchased materials, and grade your work;
• to operate your account, process payments, and provide support;
• to send you email about the Service—including a welcome message, replies to messages you send us, and occasional email about practice exams you have started or offers relating to them (see Section 4);
• to protect our intellectual property and detect or prevent unauthorized sharing, fraud, or abuse;
• to secure, maintain, and improve the Service; and
• to comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

3. Exam watermarking and download logging

To protect our materials, each copy you download is personalized to you: it is stamped with your name and email address—and, if you have purchased, the billing address you gave at checkout—and embeds a unique forensic serial number, and we log the download details described in Section 1. If you have not purchased (for example, a free practice exam), only your name and email address are stamped. We use this information solely to identify the source of any unauthorized copy, to maintain an audit trail, and to enforce our Terms. The information stamped onto your documents is your own contact information, and we use it only for the purposes described in this section—watermarking itself never adds you to any additional list. 4. Email and how we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality obligations—our payment processor (Stripe), our cloud hosting provider (Microsoft Azure), and our email provider (GoHighLevel)—and where required to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect our rights, users, or the public.

Email we send. We send you a welcome message when you create an account, replies when you contact us, and receipts and notices about your purchases and access. We may also send occasional email about practice exams you have started but not finished, which can include a discount offer. To send this, we share your name and email address, and the exam involved, with GoHighLevel, which delivers the message on our behalf.

Stopping it.Every promotional email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops that kind of email immediately. Messages we need to send to operate your account—replies to your own enquiries, receipts, and notices about your access—are not promotional and continue regardless, because they are part of providing the Service. You can also ask us to stop promotional email at any time using the contact details in Section 10.

5. Data retention

We retain account, purchase, exam, and download-log information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and protect our intellectual property. Download logs are retained under the same policy as other account records. When no longer needed, information is deleted or de-identified.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and rights

You may access or update your account information from your account settings, and you may request deletion of your account by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information (such as access, correction, deletion, or portability); we will honor applicable rights on verified request. You can unsubscribe from promotional email at any time as described in Section 4. Note that we may retain certain records—including download logs—where necessary to protect our intellectual property or comply with law.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted with an updated date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
